Information Requirements of a Decision Support System for Severe Accident Management in Nuclear Power Plants
نویسندگان
چکیده
In nuclear power plants, a severe accident is critical involving significant core damage and it managed by using set of Severe Accident Management Guidelines (SAMG). Prepared as guideline that provides lists suggestions rather than strict instructions, SAMG’s contents require frequent decision-making the operators, causing high cognitive load creating an error-prone situation also amplified stressful environment during mitigation efforts. A decision support system (DSS), designed considering human process system’s holistic view, can help operators in making informed appropriate decisions. this study, we aim to identify information requirements designing such DSS for management plants. We combined two methods: Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) ladder requirements. FRAM systematic analysis functions involved captures processes. developed model based on The identified their implementation are provided. This study first step considers concepts. method used shall contribute design capable supporting achieving safer decision-making, not only plants’ but similar safety-critical systems.

the management and analysis of flood hazards is of great socio- economic and ecological importance as it was estimated that 50 percent of word’s population resides and works within the costal zone till 2030. the management of coastal flood hazard reflects the cumulative effects and criteria more than the human mind can handle effectively. the flood management requires decision making for rela...
متن کاملSevere Accident Risks: An Assessment for Five U.S. Nuclear Power Plants
This report summarizes an assessment of the risks from severe accidents in five commercial nuclear power plants in the United States. These risks are measured in a number of ways, including: the estimated frequencies of core damage accidents from internally initiated accidents and externally initiated accidents for two of the plants; the performance of containment structures under severe accide...
متن کاملMaking Decision Support System for Utilization of Biogas in Iran
The use of renewable energy sources is often suggested to be a good solution for climate change and the dependency to fossil fuel. Biogas utilization is a one of these promising options that can mitigate these problems since biogas is produced by the fermentation of waste, so is rich in methane and has the same characteristics as natural gas. Biogas has increasingly been noticed in different co...
متن کاملA Fuzzy Based Decision Support System For Supply Chain Disruption Management
Among the supply chain risk types, disruptions that result from natural disasters, sanctions, transportation problems and equipment failure can seriously disrupt or delay the flow of material, information and cash. The aim of this research was to propose a hybrid model for disruption management, which is the process of achieving plans or strategies to reduce the expenses incurred by the disrupt...
